M.A.S.T. @ Homestead Medical Magnet pledges to provide a medical health science high school academy recognized by its formation of students seeking careers in health care and science research through a challenging curriculum that exposes them to critical thinking, engineering, technology, mathematics, science, field studies, projects, competitions, and scientific research. M.A.S.T. @ Homestead Medical Magnet is committed to forge individuals to become leaders in the medical field, dedicate to public service, social responsibility, and facilitate the health care needs to our ever changing global community.

About Us
American ingenuity, built on a foundation of science and engineering, has led our county to the forefront of innovation and discovery in the 19th and 20th centuries and has changed the basis of our economy. In the 21st century, scientific and technological innovations have become increasingly important as we face the benefits and challenges of both globalization and a knowledge-based economy. To succeed in this new information-based and highly technological society, all students need to develop their capabilities to levels much beyond what was considered acceptable in the past. The US National Academies expressed their concern about the declining state of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics education in the United Stated. Its Committee on Science, Engineering and Public Policy developed a list of ten actions federal policy makers could take to advance stem education in the nation to compete successfully in the 21st century.
